The differences between Liberals and Conservatives have been long discussed, researched, and ranted about since the beginning of both parties. So often though many people are not completely familiar with all of the issues and ideas of the party that they happen to be affiliated with. These people simply “go with it.” Usually a political party affiliation is based on what the person grew up hearing about, and he or she does not question any differently. I can bet that if most people understood fully what the party they support actually believe and represent, most might make a decision to choose a different party. There have been studies done by students acquiring a human services degree that help to support my beliefs to some extent.
So do you know what your party represents? Are you an informed individual choosing your stance based on the actual ideals and beliefs that you want to see put into effect in this country? Or are you the type of person who chooses based solely on the information that you hear trickling down from others, too lazy to take the time and find out what the reality really is? I think it is time you did your research. Forget the labels, and choose based on what you think. Take a look at the infographic below. There might be labels at the top of it, but I say ignore those and look at the beliefs only to see which is closer to how you feel.
